Export119 uses Clerk for authentication. Sign-up takes about two minutes; the company type you pick is what shapes the rest of the platform for your team.

Create your account

1. Open app.export119.com/sign-up.

2. Enter your name, email, and a password. Or use a social provider (Google, Apple) if your team prefers SSO.

3. Check your inbox for the six-digit OTP code and enter it on the verification screen. The code expires in 10 minutes; you can resend.

4. Pick a company name and company type. The type can’t be changed later without a platform admin action, so pick carefully:

   Type	Pick this if you…
   Trading	Buy cars to ship and sell
   Forwarder	Operate or charter container/RORO sailings
   Customs broker	Process export or import permits
   CFS	Receive containers, shore cargo, hand off to customs
   Inspection / audit	Inspect vehicles or audit shipments

5. Set your home currency. This is the currency your financial statements will be denominated in. It locks the moment you record your first car purchase, so think about which currency the books really live in (often LYD for Libya, USD for Korea-to-MENA operations).

Home currency is permanent

We deliberately lock home currency because changing it after the fact would require re-translating every historical transaction at retroactive rates. If you absolutely need to change it before any cars are recorded, ask a platform admin to reset your accounting data — that’s the only escape hatch. See Multi-currency & FX.

What happens behind the scenes

When you complete sign-up, Export119:

• Creates your company record and links you as the owner (full bypass permissions).
• Seeds a complete Chart of Accounts for your company type (about 40 standard accounts; you can add custom ones later).
• Seeds a counterparty category catalog (suppliers, buyers, banks, owners, etc.).
• Marks you as the sole user; you can invite teammates from Settings → Team.

What you can do immediately

Even on a brand-new account, you can:

• Add currencies and exchange rates
• Create vaults (cash boxes, bank accounts). A vault can also be created as an office — a vault linked to a counterparty that finances your FX exchanges (an exchange office relationship) — if you work with one.
• Add counterparties (suppliers, buyers)
• Start adding cars

If you’re moving from an existing system with cars already in your inventory and money already owed to or by you, don’t enter it one by one — the Migration to Export119 wizard is built exactly for that. You’ll get a clean starting position and the numbers will tie out.
