Common questions
How long does a check take?

Most reports return in 30–90 seconds for VIN-based checks. Plate-only lookups for some markets can take longer because we resolve plate → VIN first.

What if the VIN isn't found?

If our sources have no record on a VIN, we don't charge you. Some very new (just-registered) and very old (pre-1990) cars are simply absent from the public registries.

Is the report admissible for customs / import?

The Korean carhistory.or.kr report is the official document used for export-customs filings into many countries. We deliver it as-is plus a translated summary.

Do you store the VIN after the check?

We retain it long enough to deliver the report and answer any follow-up question. After 30 days it's anonymized in our logs unless you ask us to keep it on file.
